Hi, I’m Antonio Del Donno! I began my academic journey in theoretical physics, specializing in quantum field theory and beyond the Standard Model physics. Over time, I became increasingly fascinated by the mathematical foundations of these theories and, more broadly, by mathematical methods in physics. This interest led me to explore geometry and topology in greater depth. Driven by this passion, I pursued a master’s degree in pure mathematics, where I realized that my true path may lay in mathematical research. My second master’s thesis focused on noncommutative geometry, specifically on differential calculi for quantum principal bundles. Currently, I am a PhD candidate at Charles University in Prague, working on the noncommutative geometry of quantum flag manifolds. Alongside my research, I tutor engineering and chemistry students at the University of Bologna and occasionally teach mathematics, physics, and chemistry privately. Beyond academia, music has always been a fundamental part of my life; whether composing, improvising, or simply playing for enjoyment, I find music to be an essential creative outlet to balances the scientific part of my mind. In my free time I also enjoy photography, trying to capture moments that inspire me aesthetically and conceptually. Download my CV.
